Thank you. I feel like you're getting at an important and underappreciated part of modern life here. If you ever want to write more about this thought I would be very interested:

"a church without a vision and task will become toxic, because there’ll be enough people who need some kind of drama to keep them interested"

How does that relate to this pervasive attempt to remove boredom from the rest of our lives? Are there some ways church can provide "good boredom" or train us out of our habitual addiction to drama? What does this have to do with "God being the most interesting part of Christianity" (as peoplemhave quoted to me a few times. Don't ask me where it comes from!).
